Professional Headshot Photography FAQ
I live in Springfield, MO and I shoot out of my home studio. I will travel in a 100 mile radius around Springfield. Mileage will be added to the final cost of the shoot
Yes, if you have a group of 4 or more people I can come to your place and do a session there. I will need access to a medium-sized room so I can set up all my gear. This is the best way to do a session when it's a whole team.
Yes, I do shoot out of my home and all headshot sessions are by appointment only. In order to get the best outcome from the shoot, there will be preparation from both sides needed to ensure success.
Avoid busy patterns, textures, or distracting necklines. For Business or Corporate Headshot sessions, wear your favourite suit or business dress, your crispest shirt, your go-to tie. Pay attention to older shirts that have collars that have become soft or floppy over time, or fit too loose around the neck. If we’re going for smart casual, wear your absolute favorite clothes. I want you to look and feel your very best and you’ll be amazed at the difference it makes in how people feel in front of the camera when they’re wearing their favorite outfit.
I'm not photogenic.
I think that 99% of people say this to me. They tell me how they hate having their photo taken and they never look good in photos. Most of the time, being photogenic means being relaxed in front of the camera and just being yourself. Most people get super nervous, they fake a smile or they freeze up. It takes some time and a little coaching to get a great photo and it’s my job to get you there.
